AT THE CORE

DESIGN + VULNERABILITY

In Summer 2019, I felt disheartened.

I found myself in a constant place of reflection, struggling to relate to my peers. But one day, I stumbled upon an essay written by a friend who I always presumed was living a seemingly perfect life. However, his writing detailed how it was nowhere close to the picture I pieced together in my mind. I was moved by his candor, his courage, and most notably his vulnerability. It encouraged me to write about my own messy thoughts and dare to share them online. I had no idea that what would come of these hastily crafted pieces would be collective relatability.

Although each issue is collaborative, selfishly, the most rewarding part has been the offline conversations. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read what I (and our peers) write and for your continued support of this passion project. My hope is that you are able to bring vulnerability into your own life and remember that we are all human at the core.
